Some Older Photographs from Savannah

These photos are ones that I took to my first trip to Savannaha, but when I processed the film, I messed them up and didn't ever bother to enlarge them. Not too long ago my mom bought a scanner with the capability to make photos out of negatives, so I took a look at these. The quality really isn't all that great, but I just really loved some of the photos. Another added bonus is that most of these photos were basis for my memories when I wrote one of my stories. - Annie

Building Sides These two photos (the one below also) of the buildings are just some of the best shots - the buildings have a lot of texture and the way they appear in black and white you'd never believe I only took them a few years ago or that the place is becoming is modernized now.
Again these two photos really remind me of my story and how I was feeling when I wrote it... one of these days I'll get to editing it and posting it so that the visual can go along with the written. Building Sides
Tunnels Being down in this area is always kind of interesting and scary at the same time (won't even go into how I almost got jumped), but looking under these walkways is like looking down into cave works. Cobble stone streets, brick walkways, and wrought iron stair cases -- it really is like stepping into the past untill you fall into one of the many gift shops.
This is a view onto the river - it really is a beautiful place, very serene and intersting. There are always festivals on the weekends with lots and lots of people.. one of those culturally enhancing experiences. The River
Bridges These walkways were used as ways to load the trucks with cotton from the riverfront factories - they help to make the aformentioned tunnels, and it's just something that looks really different from all the other things I had seen in other cities that I had visted in the United States.
This photo just kind of shows how everything is still cobble stones and wrought iron... with excessivly steep stair cases... whew. Cobble Stones
River Street This is just a nice perspective shot of River Street. Love the angle with the buildings and how you can see the tracks on the road too.
This is lovely of one of the small parks downtown and the best part is that there is a mounted cop in the background - makes it look even more historic. Park
