I'm not trying to come across as any kind of self-proclaimed artist here or anything - I do these sorts of things as hobbies because I find them relaxing. I would absolutely love to someday have the time to take a few courses in painting and drawing, but for now I just mess around and do stuff. When I scanned some of these the light glared off the canvas and/or the sealer I put on the canvas... so the colors look more rich in person. I'll explain each of these a little bit as I post them... but beyond that I just did them for fun. - Annie

This was my "artisic" assignment for my college Arts class - I made it of Adam Duritz and wanted to represent the song "Perfect Blue Buildings." The photo of Adam was one of him on a street by the effiel tower, and I found both the cliff and the building in a b&w photo book of Ireland and Yeats poems. I thought it went together well, although the glare is the worst on this one. |

This is from the cover of "The Lost Boys." I love Jason Patrick in that movie - he's so ultra cool and sexy. He's the front runner for making Vampires romanticised in my book. I love this movie anyway. |
